Ordering & Prices

Consultation

I offer pre-booked appointments with no obligation, at my home where you can taste samples of cakes and discuss ideas, colour schemes, themes etc. If a home consultation is not possible but you have photographs of the cake that you want, then I am happy to work from this. I can send samples of the cake of your choice in the post for you to taste.

Booking

It is advisable to book your wedding cake as early as possible, at least 9 months in advance in order to guarantee that I can take on your commission. At the time of booking I ask for a £50 non refundable deposit. The balance is payable two weeks before the wedding date.

Delivery & Set Up

I am happy to offer local delivery and setting up your cake within a 40 mile
radius of my home for £25.00 plus 40p per mile round trip.

Alternatively you may collect your cake from my home the day before your
wedding.

Cake Stands

I am gradually expanding my collection of cake stands, and can help you in sizes required if you wish to hire one or organise this for you. Please note that it will be your responsibility for the return of the stand after the day.

Flavours and Serving Portions

My cakes are available in traditional fruit cake, Madagascan vanilla with raspberry jam, rich chocolate fudge, tangy lemon with lemon curd and buttercream, moist carrot cake with lemon buttercream and coffee cake with coffee buttercream.

I can also provide additional plain cutting cakes if extra portions are required.

These prices are for fairly simple designs with small floral displays.

- 3 tier round, 6″,8″ and 10″ start from £350.00
(*portions 140 fruit/70 sponge)

(a smaller stacked 3 tier round,= 4″,7″ and 10″ start from £325.00
(*portions 117 fruit/64 sponge)

- 3 tier square 6”,8″ and 10″ start from £370.00
(*portions 190 fruit/95 sponge)

There is no difference in pricing between the fruit or sponge cakes.

Additional cutting cakes are available if the size of your cakes is not sufficient for your guest numbers.  Prices upon request.

Celebration Cakes

My commission charge for a typical 8″ cake starts from £60.00.  This price reflects the quality ingredients, materials and time that it takes me to make these cakes.
